What we do
GPB advises many financial and professional services businesses, pharmaceutical, accountancy and law firms, as well as many SME and specialist boutique firms. We work pan-economy. All of these firms aim to excel in their areas of expertise; we aim to excel in ours. We work with senior management in a diplomatic but candid way.
We advise clients on new communication and business development events, and we run many of our clients’ most popular workshops including persuasive and effective communication, Advanced Presentation Skills, Pitching to Win, Selling Growth Capital and Winning New Business. We have published several papers, articles and books. We take high quality work very seriously and are one of the few firms to have been accredited by the SRA, the regulator of the UK legal profession.
We prefer to spend our working hours looking after our clients, not looking for them. We take a long-term view in our client relationships rather than maximising short-term profit.

Our client list is extensive and covers the economic spectrum, yet we have enough clients in each sector to build up great sector expertise. Other work across the sectors gives us a fresher perspective.
We improve your skills over the long-term
We’re obsessed with this! We have scientific measures e.g. for content, voice and visual elements. We make skills stick with the best mix of theory, practicals, handouts and feedback. We can cause lifelong improvements. Given the mandate, we’ll improve the way a whole firm works.
Research and ideas
We are always developing by doing our own research and often generate new IP. We also cherry-pick from the relevant academic work and adapt it for commercial value.
We plan workshops well ahead but a large part of our advisory work is at short notice, often outside working hours and at weekends. This is particularly so with competitive business pitches where you, the client, have much at stake but little time to prepare.

Our clients tell us that our work, from intensive sessions with individuals, through advising on key events, to multi-day group workshops provide excellent returns for them, especially when compared with their other professional advisers.
Led by co-founder Ewan Pearson, we have a great team of senior consultants based in London. This team is supported by experts in their field, such as our voice and visual analysis associate in Geneva, and by like-minded consultants in other geographies such as Hong Kong and Hamburg. This gives us the ability to coach clients locally in several languages.
Why the satsuma?
Our blue square logo indicates scientific precision, and our orange satsuma (see our website footer below) indicates the art of good natural communication. We are avid believers in the combination of the two for the most effective communication. And a gentle squeeze of the satsuma produces healthy advice!
